  • 1936 -  Establishment

    Theo Pirenne is among the first to establish an accountancy firm in Belgium.

  • 1953 -  IBR / IRE Certified Public Accountant

    The Belgian Certified Public Accountants Institute (IBR – IRE) appoints Theo Pirenne as a Certified Public Accountant for a number of industrial companies in Flanders, Wallonia and the German Community.

  • 1973 -  Start of the international expansion

    Following the impetus provided by Boudewijn Callens, Theo Pirenne's son-in-law, the firm takes its first steps towards international expansion.

  • 1990 -  Luxemburg

    Certification by the Luxemburg "Institut des RĂ©viseurs d'Entreprises".

  • 1993 -  Germany

    Opening of a branch in Berlin and certification as "WirtschaftsprĂĽfergesellschaft".

  • 1995 -  France

    Opening of a branch in Lille and certification as "Commissaire aux Comptes".

  • 2008 - Crowe Horwath International

    Callens, Pirenne, Theunissen & C° becomes an affiliate of the international network of Crowe Horwath International
